This painting is inspired by the steel mills, paper mills, and factories in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and other southern states that have disappeared from our landscape. They represent a different way of life and a different culture, and their ragged remains fascinate and inspire me. This watercolor painting of a steel mill and its nearby pond is called "Steel Water".
