This view of Southwest Harbor in Maine- actually painted from a plein air study that I did from the upper deck of a large yacht! Suffice to say - not mine. I was a bit alarmed when a dark cloud gathered to the north and quickly painted in the interesting background and added some of the boats - of which there was a great variety. My real attention was drawn by the gathering clouds --Soon enough a bit a sun broke through and warmed up the view.
