BEST OF NOGS (North of Gaston Street)
Support and Investment $1200
North of Gaston Street Award (NOGS) – North of Gaston encompasses the portion of the Savannah Historic District stretching from the Savannah River to Forsyth Park. This area includes 22 of Savannah's original public squares, stunning 18th ad 19th century architecture, the vibrant River Street waterfront, and many of the city's most iconic landmarks and attractions
Covering approximately 2.5 square miles, this National Historic Landmark is generally in the same footprint of Savannah's pre-Civil War city limits and is one of the largest urban historic districts in the United States. Urban planners and design professionals from around the world visit the district to experience and study the visionary city plan established by Savannah's founder, James Oglethorpe, whose innovative grid and square layout continues to influence urban planning today.
