Last fall a group of us went on a plein air trip to Tybee Island.  We stayed in a place right next to a marsh with a long boardwalk.  Despite the fact that it was cloudy and rainy all weekend, we managed to paint quite a bit.  I painted this small 6x8 as a quick study before the sun burned off the mist.  It was stunningly beautiful this particular morning and I wanted to capture the mood of the place.
