There's a lovely and quiet little jetty on lake Allatoona just outside of downtown Emerson GA that we like to go and spend quiet moments. This plein air piece I did mostly on site but finished in my studio later. I hope to capture the quiet and still summer morning serenity. Studies on the texture of the rock and the atmosphere in the distant hills way across the lake.
