"Before Sunrise"
Oil on Stretched Canvas
20" x 24"

I was drawn to the strong contrast between light and shadow and the rich, saturated colors of the scene. The warm yellow glow of the streetlights against the deep blues and violets of the early morning especially caught my attention. The lights seemed almost perfectly placed, as if they were there just waiting to be painted. That feeling inspired me to create this work. 2026
