Early Morn
Watercolor on Watercolor Paper
11" x 15"

The shrimp boat, Daddy's Girls, can be found in Bluffton, SC and this great backlit view caught my attention. I emphasized the darks and lights to create the dramatic early morning light. The many shapes and colors in the foreground give the impression of objects and detail in an understated way. Calligraphic lines of the rigging and nets add to the magic of the scene.
