I must have painted scenes from this alley 100 times. This painting is the first large scale painting that was inspired a series of sketches done at different times of day. It was a scorcher that day... mid summer and the sun i just a pout straight overhead and not a cloud in the sky. That usually doesn't make for a good painting but I found that this was magic. This piece has traveled all over the southeast for different shows it was accepted to and won several awards in online competitions for larger paintings.
