The Sorrel Weed House
Oil on Linen Canvas
9" x 9"

Completed in 1840, the Sorrel-Weed House remains one of the grandest mansions in Savannah's Historic District. Its rooftop was used to film the opening scene of Forrest Gump, as the famous feather floats above Savannah's rooftops, steeples, and life oaks before coming to rest near the bench where Forrest tells his incredible story.
